This page summarizes my usage of LLMs (“AI”) on this website.
Summary
I get a lot out of writing, and I’m not interested in delegating that process to AI. I try to use it instead to improve what I already do. We need human voices now more than ever.
If you’d like to learn why I made this page, check out the AI Manifesto.
How I Use AI
I use Grammarly to check for grammatical mistakes and typos.
I use Chat-GPT to help me iterate on my posts’ title and description, because I often undersell my writing and AI does not.
I use Chat-GPT to call out weak arguments and exclusionary language. I have blind spots, and AI has different blind spots. I’d prefer to work with people to do this, but I write too frequently for this to be viable.
How I Don’t Use AI
I hand-write every single post; AI doesn’t write for me.
I choose subjects that I find interesting; I don’t use AI to help me decide what to write about.
