This page summarizes my use of AI on this website.1

I hand-write every post on this blog about subjects that I find interesting. I believe that writing is thinking, and I’d write even if nobody was reading. As a result, I don’t delegate that process to AI.

Tools I use

I use Grammarly to check for typos and grammatical mistakes. It has AI features, which I try to ignore.

I use ChatGPT to workshop my post titles, because it’s good at summarizing things.

Tools I’ve used in the past

In the past, I’ve used AI (ChatGPT and Cursor) to identify weak arguments and exclusionary language in my writing. I’ve stopped doing this, because want to be good at these things myself. I’d rather try (and sometimes fail) to be a great communicator, in public, than use AI to do that work for me.
